    Ray,

One thing to check, Are both generators identical? You can do this by looking at the stamping on the body. the model number should be C39PV or C39PV-2.
the part number should be 222XYZ where XYZ could be some combination of letters or numbers.

    Links truncated for me.

Depends which brake master you have, the caps vary in diameter. At least three different sizes, more if you have an after-market clutch or single-circuit brake master.

    Hello all,

Thought I'd get your input on this question.

I just purchased this item for use in doing my first brake fluid flush/bleed (clutch and brakes) on my Lotus Elise, simply because I have read it is a bit of a nightmare to properly bleed the front calipers. Anyway, is it something (with the correct adapter) that could be used on the BGT?

Gosh is it 6 years? I'd have said more like 3; Prop is much missed - always willing to help and as you say Grey, often with very left field solutions.

Can't say much more than that Willie. His outlook was "unique" as was his spelling!
I remember being transfixed for hours by the unfolding saga of flaring his rear arches with a bottle jack and a few chunks of scrap timber, and any number of left-field schemes.
He always made me laugh, and I'm sure we gave him a good laugh in turn.
One of the real good guys. RIP.

    I wonder what h...

For those of you on this forum that knew Jeff, it's been six years today since his untimely passing. I miss his friendship and banter on here and privately and often recall the drama that seemed to follow his exploits with the Blackhole Midget, and how happy he was when it was a goer. Time goes by and the pain/grief fades a bit but Prop's legacy to us all is our memory of him and what he got up to...

Nice one Bill, we all have friends like that.

A very long time ago a friend when doing his very first oil change (on a Wolseley 1500) didn't realise there was a rubber gasket hidden in the oil filter housing which required the skills of a small but talented contortionist to remove.

At first all went well, filter casing off, new paper filter in, casing screwed up tightly, new oil ...

We've got them here as well Tom, and people are buying them because they're cheap
Why would anyone want to buy one to support communist China.

  • Bill Bretherton27 April 2024

    Anam, 🤣🤣🤣

Richard, thanks for the offer which I'll bear in mind. It's very easy, my friend says, to mistakenly look at 1500 parts in the Mo** catalogue instead of 1275.
